It's raining again!
It’s Saturday evening and I have looked up the television guide and found nothing to watch. I looked out of the window and it is still raining. I picked up the Readers Digest and found that I have already read it. I have been on line to see what is showing at the cinema and find nothing there to turn me on. So I thought of what I might do and decided to write an article for my bog page to satisfy the singular equally sad person who logs on to read it.
What a terrible month August has been, rain, rain and more rain. I meet people in the street and have now given up asking whether they had a good holiday, the response is often ‘we came home early, the kids were bored and we didn’t have enough money to entertain them’.
I turned the radio on for the news and heard that due to lack of sun we will all have a deficiency in vitamin D. This means we will all have more flu and colds during the winter.
There was that song that started – ‘Hello Mother, hello Father, how’s my precious little brother?’ The lad was writing a home sick letter due to miserable weather and being home playing with his younger brother would have been better than this. Then the sun comes out and kids are playing and the song ends ‘kindly please ignore this letter’.
Guess what? The rain has stopped and the sun has just come out and I can go into the garden and potter and at the same time thank God for all that is now good in his creation.
Kindly please ignore this blog.
