Charity breakfast raises £1500 for St Peter's Hospice

I am delighted to be able to tell you that as a result of all the hard work and support we received on Saturday 20th June Chris and I have been able to sent £1500 to St Peter’s Hospice.

Having had a year off we came back this year with renewed enthusiasm which was reflected in the wonderful atmosphere in the Parish Hall and surrounding garden. There are so many people to thank – all who pre-sold tickets which helps to make the catering cost effective, the Parent and Toddler group who so willingly agreed to entertain the younger members of the community, The team who undertook to welcome everyone with a smile and a glass of Bucks Fizz, the tireless raffle ticket sellers – then of course the kitchen crew – non-stop from 7.30am through to 11am not forgetting the all important ladies at the sink, and finally the front of house team – efficiently serving, re-stocking and clearing, filling cups with fresh hot tea or coffee, freshly made toast…….the list is endless and in fear of forgetting someone I just want to say “thank you” for your support in every way.

I know the Trustees, staff and patients at St Peters appreciate our donation but I also think the Breakfast offers another happy village occasion for all to enjoy – so again “Thank you” for helping/supporting us.
